1 arrested, 3 stolen cars located in joint investigation
SUMMERVILLE,S.C. (WCIV) - One man was arrested and three stolen cars were found after ajoint investigation between Berkeley County deputies and Summerville police.
According tothe Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, the agencies were working on leads for arash of stolen cars in Pringletown when they spotted 51-year-old Samuel CooperIII driving a 2013 Dodge Ram that had been reported stolen.
Officersexecuted a search warrant at his Gilliard Road home in Ridgeville and foundanother car, a Chrysler 300, that was reportedly stolen. The Dodge and the Chryslerhad both been stolen from Summerville.
Officersreportedly found a utility trailer and a Bobcat steer loader that had beenreported stolen from North Charleston.
The vehicleswere valued at $108,000.
Cooper wascharged with three counts of receiving and possessing stolen vehicles, onecount of receiving and possession of stolen goods, two counts of operating achop shop, and one count of possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.
Cooper isbeing held in the Hill-Finklea Detention Center on a $140,000 bond.
