Arrests made in fatal St. Stephen shooting

ST. STEPHEN, S.C. (WCIV) -- Berkeley County deputies arrested three men in connection with a fatal shooting that happened in St. Stephen last week. According to deputies, Jamal Harris-Nelson was arrested Monday night and is being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center on murder charges. On Wednesday, deputies announced a second arrest. Deputies said 19-year-old Michael Anthony Segar was arrested and charged with misprison of a felony. He is being held in the county detention center and a bond hearing is slated for 7 p.m. Wednesday.{} Deputies were searching for 22-year-old Brandon Antwane Wigfall but he was arrested downtown Thursday morning. Wigfall is also charged with murder. According to officials with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, St. Stephen police are handling the investigation. Police in the town said they were called to a Graham Street home around 10:30 a.m. on June 11 for a reported shooting. The victim had been shot in the back, but was refusing to cooperate with police in their investigation. Officials said the 41-year-old Pineville man died at Roper Hospital. The coroner has identified the victim as John David Morant, from New York. Officials said Harris went through bond court Tuesday night.
