      1 killed in Georgetown County crash

      GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCIV) -- One person was killed Saturday night in a single-vehicle crash on a Georgetown County road.

      According to Highway Patrol Troopers, the crash happened around 8:45 p.m. Saturday on Brick Chimney Road.

      Troopers say the driver of a Ford pickup truck was heading east when the truck went off the left side of the road, hit an embankment, and flipped.

      The driver was partially ejected and died at the scene, officials said. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

      The Georgetown County Coroner's Office has not released the name of the driver.
