1 killed in single-car crash in Berkeley County

PINEVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) - A Cross man was killed Saturday night when the car he was in ran off the side of the road and flipped several times.

According to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury, 52-year-old Anthony Brown was ejected from the car during the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt, the coroner said.

Salisbury said Brown was a passenger in the car traveling on Thomas Walters Road when it ran off the right side of the road and flipped. The driver was also ejected from the car, Salisbury said.

The driver was taken to Medical University Hospital, but the coroner did not know the person's condition.

After investigating the crash, the coroner's office ruled the death an accident.
