NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A man was wounded in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in North Charleston after an argument escalated.
According to police, two men were arguing near the intersection of East Montague Avenue and Hassell Street. A witness reportedly told police that one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the leg.
Officials at Charleston County Dispatch said initially the wound was self-inflicted.
Police said the victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
A police report released a day later shows that police found four Hispanic men in a car; one of them had a gunshot wound to the leg.
Witnesses reportedly told police the four Hispanic men were chasing a black man who was shooting at them as he ran.
This is the second shooting in as many days in North Charleston. On Monday, a man walking to the store for a snack was shot by a man in a car.
Police said the victim was taken to Medical University Hospital.
Police have not provided solid details on the suspects in either shooting.
