2 charged in Grand Strand homicide

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a Hemingway man whose body was found near Myrtle Beach.

Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard says the body of 57-year-old Helbert Woodberry was found late Tuesday near Carolina Forest High School. The cause of death was not immediately available.

Authorities were searching for the body after they were told that a killing had occurred at a Myrtle Beach motel Monday.

Arrest records show that 32-year-old Mitchell Monroe Weatherall of Myrtle Beach is charged with murder while 24-year-old Joey Raymond Garsow of Myrtle Beach is charged with accessory after the fact of a felony.

It was not immediately known if they had attorneys.
