2 injured in shooting after botched drug deal

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - Two men were wounded in a shooting at a North Charleston apartment complex Friday night. Police believe the incident stemmed from a drug deal.

According to North Charleston police, two people went to the Clements Avenue home to make a drug deal. During the deal, an argument started which led to two men being shot.

Police were told that during the drug deal, three black men walked into the apartment and opened fire.

One of the victims was taken to Medical University Hospital in critical condition, police said. The other was also taken to MUSC, but had non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the victim in critical condition refused to provide officers with a description of his attackers.
