CHALRESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston Police say they have arrested two more suspects in the homicide of a West Ashley man.
The victim, 18-year-old Juwan Anthony Reid, was shot June 14 outside of the Ashley Oaks apartment complex on Ashley Hall Plantation Road. He died six days later in a local hospital.
William Luck, 25, and 23-year-old Christopher Taliaferro are both charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. June 14.
According to police reports, officers arrived on scene and found Reid with a gunshot wound to the head. Deputies said they found $300 and a small amount of marijuana in his possession.
The first arrest was made June 22 when 22-year-old Deontre Pierce was taken into custody. Pierce is charged with murder.
A witness told deputies that Reid robbed Pierce at gunpoint prior to the shooting, according to court documents. At the time of the shooting, the court documents state that the witness was standing next to Reid when Pierce approached them with an unidentified individual.
According to the documents, the unidentified individual fired two gunshots and then fled with Pierce.
Deputies spoke with Pierce on Saturday before he was arrested and according to court documents, he told deputies that Reid had robbed him prior to the shooting of $300 and a small amount of marijuana.
He told deputies he was not involved in the shooting itself.
