2 more James Island feral dogs captured Saturday

JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) -- The Charleston County Sheriff's Office reports that two more feral dogs have been{}captured on James Island.

Around 9:00 AM Saturday morning, Officials say Animal Control captured two more dogs in traps set off of Honeyhill Road on James Island.

Major Jim Brady of the Sheriff's Office says these dogs appear to be part of the feral pack of dogs roaming on the island that are believed to be responsible for several cat deaths over the last few months. The two dogs this morning were of shepherd mix and were larger than the previously captured dogs.

The dogs will be transported to the ASPCA where a determination will be made on the dog's status.

James Island residents who spot roaming dogs or have any contact or incidents with them are asked to contact the{}Charleston County Sheriff's Office at 843-202-1700 immediately and are advised to not to try and corral or capture the dogs themselves.
