2 wounded in Berkeley County shooting

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) -- Two men in an argument were wounded when they shot each other early Wednesday morning, deputies said.

According to Berkeley County deputies, the shooting happened around 3 a.m. on Old Back River Road.

Deputies say two men were arguing and that escalated to them opening fire on each other. Both men were shot multiple times, officials said.

An incident report states one of the victims was "in and out of consciousness" and told deputies that someone named "D" had shot him. The man had been hit once in the stomach, the report states.

The report goes on to say that the man met with "D" to sell him some speakers. When "D" arrived, he shot the victim, the report states.

Deputies then found the other man, who had several gunshot wounds. Both men were taken to Medical University Hospital.

Deputies said they are still trying to determine who fired the first shot.
