2014 CofC Baseball schedule released

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The College of Charleston announced its 2014 baseball schedule Tuesday.{}

The Cougars will face six teams that were in the NCAA Tournament last season (UNC, South Carolina, Coastal Carolina, UNC Wilmington, William & Mary, and Towson).

This will be the first season in the Colonial Athletic Association for the Cougars.{} The first CAA series will be on March 28 at Patriots Point as the Cougars play host to Northeastern.{} Last season, the CAA sent three teams to the NCAA Tournament (UNC Wilmington, William & Mary and Towson). The conference finished with the ninth-best RPI in all of college baseball with four teams cracking the top 100.

Fall practices are already underway, and Cougar fans can get a preliminary look at the College of Charleston Baseball Team at the 2013 Fall World Series, scheduled for October 25-27 at Patriots Point.{} For a complete look at the CofC 2014 schedule, click here.
