MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCIV) -- Three people have been arrested and more than $67,000 worth of cocaine and crack have been seized following the raid on a Nelson Ferry Home.
Officials with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office say they went to the residence at 497 Nelson Ferry Road in response to complaints of drug activity.
When officers arrived, they say three men attempted to flee the area.
Officials say 23-year-old Walter M. Bash jumped from the driver's side door of a truck at the residence and 26-year-old Curtis Shine jumped from the passenger's side of the same vehicle.
Agents say the also saw 26-year-old Esau Branch, Jr. throw a bag of cocaine to the ground.
Bash was charged with two counts of trafficking cocaine and trafficking cocaine base within a half mile of a school.
Both Branch and Shine were charged with possession with intent to distribute within a half mile of a school.
