6 arrested in 2 burglaries in Berkeley County

      BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) - Six people were arrested in connection to two different burglaries in Berkeley County that happened in the last week.

      According to the sheriff's office, the first burglary happened on April 19 at a Rail Drive home in Summerville. There, victims said they returned home to find their home had been burglarized.

      After following up with leads, the sheriff's office arrested 28-year-old William Anthony Howell, 29-year-old Jennifer Elizabeth Day, and 33-year-old David Clark Mount. Howell and Day were charged with second-degree burglary; Mount was charged with receiving stolen goods.

      Howell and Mount were given $40,000 surety bonds. Bond for Day had her bond set at $20,000.

      Two days later, deputies say there was another burglary on Dehayville Road in Pinopolis. The victims came home to find that their firearms and electronics had been stolen.

      Deputies arrested Cameron John Davidson and Taylor James Steese, both 17 years old, and an unnamed juvenile, and charged them with first-degree burglary. All were given $25,000 surety bonds.

      The juvenile is being held at the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia but will be tried as an adult.
