CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- One of downtown Charleston's award-winning restaurants is taking a foray into local liquors and beers with a summer dinner series.
82 Queen will offer the dinners starting at the end of the month, the first of which will be on June 28 and will feature bourbon from Jim Beam. According to a release from 82 Queen, the bourbons on tap will include Knob Creek and Basil Hayden's.
The liquors will be paired with the restaurant's Lowcountry fare, the release states.
"We wanted to start thesummer off right, so we decided to pair our great Lowcountry cuisine with anold favorite, Jim Beam." says Chef Steven Lusby.
The bourbons will not only be used for drinking, Lusby said, but will also be infused in the dishes.
There are only 40 seats available for the dinner. Tickets are $79 in advance and $99 on the night of the dinner.
July's dinner will feature Firefly Moonshine; August's will feature Palmetto Brewery. The tickets to those events are $59.
