A fresh new voice hits the Charleston radio waves

Tara Servatius (Brandon Geier, WCIV)

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) "We really want to turn this into a community forum. It's not about me. It's about you, it's about what's going on in your world."{}

That's the attitude of the Lowcountry's newest radio personality, Tara Servatius.{}{}

The "Tara on TMA" Morning show debuted Wednesday morning on our media partner WTMA, and the phones were ringing off the hook. That made Tara feel right at home in her new surroundings.{}

This isn't Tara's first radio stint. She comes from an extensive hosting background in cities such as Charlotte and Myrtle Beach. But Tara seems more than happy to be starting a new adventure in the Holy City.{}

"I'm thrilled to be in Charleston... This is the place my husband and I used to vacation, so this is like moving to the ultimate vacation destination; so I'm really excited about being here," Tara said.{}{}

Tara stressed the importance of the community's input to the show. She wants to make the show all about hot topics in both local and National news. She says she{}would like{}to focus the show around the listeners and their opinions on hot-button issues in our community.{}

"This is your water cooler, this is your place to not only find out what's going on so you can sound like a genius at the water cooler, but it's also a place for you to sound off... on community issues and national stuff and whatever's going on."{}

The "Tara on TMA" Morning show airs from 5:30 to 10 a.m. every weekday on WTMA.{} That's AM channel 1250.
