Problems fixed, ABCNews4 fully functional on air

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- ABC News 4 experienced technical difficulties resulting in a loss of audio and video for part of the day on Thursday, but crews working diligently since 2 a.m. have made repairs.

A compressor and blower went out causing the temperatures in the control room to overheat some of the equipment. In some instances, temperatures reached 120 degrees.

The decision was made to not air Good Morning Charleston due to the heat issues but we were back on the air in time for the 8:25 a.m. Good Morning America cut-in. Soon after, we were in black again.

There is still much work being done behind the scenes.

Thank you so much for your patience and support.
