ATLANTA (WCIV) -- Two ABC News 4 stories received 2014 Emmy nominations.
This year, chief photographer Dave MacQueen and evening anchor Victoria Hansen were nominated for the special report on ?the local mom who makes pills out of placentas?.
MacQueen and Hansen introduced the Lowcountry to Ivy Parrish, a mother of three, who began making pills out of placentas after hearing about some of the health benefits. She also makes artwork out of the placentas before turning them into pills.
The second nomination went to MacQueen and reporter and weekend anchor Valencia Wicker for their story of the man who was in the right place at the right time and saved a woman's life.
Wicker and MacQueen met with Eddie Hall, a fire extinguisher installer, who just happened across a car accident. The driver was trapped inside and the car was on fire. Hall rushed in, fought the fire, and rescued the driver.
Fire officials said without Hall's help, the driver would have died.
ABC News 4 was the only news station in Charleston to receive nominations.
The award ceremony is set for June 7 in Atlanta.
ABC News 4 also had two nominations in 2013 when MacQueen and evening anchor Dean Stephens were nominated for a pair of awards.
