Agencies crack down on prostitution
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Both North Charleston police and the Charleston County Sheriff's Office made multiple arrests for solicitation this week.
Because of public complaints, North Charleston police say their S.P.E.E.D. Team patrolled the Remount Road area Wednesday and arrested 10 men for soliciting prostitutes.
Officers say they also charged one woman with disorderly conduct.
All 11 suspects were fined $470.
On Thursday, Charleston County Sheriff's deputies also arrested four more suspects in the area of North Forest Drive in North Charleston. Those four men were also fined $470.
