Agenda: Ouster in works for Folly mayor pro-tem
FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCIV) -- It appears an ouster is in the works at Folly Beach City Council.
According to an agenda released Wednesday ahead of July 9's city council meeting, new business for the council includes censuring Mayor Pro-Tem Eddie Ellis for misconduct and removing him from office.
The agenda does not outline what misconduct charges are being levied against Ellis.
Ellis deferred questions to his attorney, who in turn said there are efforts to resolve the matter, but a full defense of Ellis would happen if the two sides did not resolve their differences.
Ellis' attorney could not comment on specifics about the matter because he had not had an opportunity to look deeper into the matter.
