COLUMBIA, S.C. - South Carolina junior tight end Rory Anderson has been named to the 2013 John Mackey Award Preseason Watch List, as announced by the Award committee on Tuesday. Anderson is one of 37 named to the preseason list.Anderson is penciled as the probable starter at tight end entering this fall's camp. He has scored eight touchdowns on 22 receptions, while averaging 20.9 yards per catch in his first two seasons in the Garnet and Black. He collected 14 passes for 271 yards and five touchdowns in 2012.Given annually to the most outstanding collegiate tight end, the award recipient is selected by vote of the John Mackey Award Selection Committee and the 2013 John Mackey recipient will be presented live on December 12, 2013 at The Home Depot College Football Awards Red Carpet Show: 6:00 p.m. ET on ESPNU.
