Andrews man, 70, killed by falling tree limb while fishing

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCIV) - An Andrews man was killed Tuesday morning during a fishing trip when a tree limb fell and hit him.

The Georgetown County Coroner identified the man as 70-year-old Franklin David Goude.

Officials say he was fishing in a small boat under a tree. He was in the Wadmacon Creek off Sand Hole Landing, officials said.

The coroner said Goude died at the scene. His cause of death is pending an autopsy.

Officials say Goude and another person were securing the boat when the limb fell.
