Apple to take Siri on the road

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- Apple is planning to place it virtual electronic personal assistant, Siri in thousands of automobiles.

The California based tech company, famous for its Ipads and Ipods, is working on deals with server leading automakers including Toyota, Honda and General Motors.{}

Drivers will be able to hit a button on the steering wheel to connect to Siri and manage their music, navigation, find a restaurant, send a hand-free text message and more.

Industry analysts say the hands-free system will be simple to use and will improve driver safety.
