Authors take part in Charleston's 2nd Sunday

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A variety of authors are on display this weekend as part of this month's 2nd Sunday on King Street in downtown Charleston.

The city's busy King Street shopping district is closed to cars one Sunday each month. That's so visitors can stroll down the street, eat at tables set up outside shops and restaurants and take in special events.

Novelist and columnist Ken Burger is planning to take part in the festivities. Food writer and cookbook author Holly Herrick will also be on hand with books from her French cooking series

Organizers say there are also opportunities to try gourmet products from Lowcountry Olive Oil's new Tasting Shop at Society and King.
