Bank in downtown Charleston robbed Friday afternoon

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - The First Citizens Bank on Meeting Street in downtown Charleston was reportedly robbed early Friday afternoon, police said.

According to Charleston police, the robbery was reported around 2 p.m. The suspect, a woman, was taken into custody a few blocks away.

Police later identified the suspect as 50-year-old Delores Baines.

She was charged with entering a bank with intent to steal. She was not armed and did not make any threats, police said.
