Beaufort Marines to conduct ordnance disposal training

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION BEAUFORT, S.C. (AP) - Marines at the Beaufort Air Station are warning residents nearby that they will be conducting training to safely dispose of weapons and ordnance.

Marine officials say Friday's training exercises will be conducted from around 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The officials say loud noises and possible explosions may be heard in the vicinity of the air station.

The Marines ask their understanding since it helps prepare them for their potentially danger duties and allows them to maintain mission preparedness.
