BEAUFORT, S.C. (AP) - Beaufort Mayor Billy Keyserling says the city will hold watch parties for Candice Glover's final two nights on "American Idol" this week.
Keyserling tells the Island Packet that Beaufort's Performing Arts Center will host a viewing party Wednesday for the show, which airs at 8 p.m. on Fox.
City officials will decide by Monday whether to hold a viewing party for the two-hour season finale Thursday at the Highway 21 Drive In or at the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park.
Because of limited space at the arts center, tickets are required for Wednesday's watch party. Tickets are free and can be picked up at the Chamber of Commerce or the arts center.
St. Helena Island native Glover and Woodville, Texas, native Kree Harrison are the show's finalists.
