Beaufort Co. Sheriff's Office searches for second shooting suspect

ST. HELENA ISLAND S.C. (WCIV) -- The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting outside of a home on Friday night.Deputies said they responded to the area of Dulamo Road at about 10 p.m. after reports of shots fired.According to a release, deputies found Charles Bryan, 35, standing outside of a home at 77 Reunion Road holding a shotgun and a handgun. Bryan told deputies he had come to help his cousin Brian Bryan, 27, who had just been robbed by two males.Deputies said Brian Bryan told them suspects came into his home through an unlocked side door and one of them started shooting. Brian Bryan told deputies he started shooting back.Further investigation revealed A-Tray Tyler Holmes, 18, arrived at Beaufort Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound, the release states.Deputies said Holmes told them he had been shot during the robbery attempt. Holmes was treated for a non-life-threatening injury.Deputies arrested Holmes and charged him with one count of armed robbery.
