CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The Charleston Friends of the Library is helping readers find their next page turner.
This weekend the nonprofit is hosting its "That Summer Book Sale" at the main Charleston County library branch on Calhoun Street. Proceeds from the event will help fund library services, new equipment, training materials, and public programs.
The sale starts up again Sunday at 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
"Children's books start at just 50 cents each and adult books start at $1 each for paper backs. The money again goes back to the programs. Of course, summer reading is going on now so this is a great time to bring in people to the library to see what they are funding," said Emily Everett, the executive director of the nonprofit.
Whether you're looking for a beach reader or something interesting to occupy your lunch breaks, there are hundreds of books on sale at the event.
