Big weekend for CofC as freshmen move-in

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - It was a big weekend for students at the College of Charleston. Since Friday, freshman students at the College of Charleston moved into on-campus housing.

Those living in McConnell, Liberty, Craig, McCallister and College Lodge dormitories moved in all their clothes and belonging into their new homes for the school year.

"It's kind of hectic because I come from a very small town moving to the big city with all these people and the traffic's awful," said{}CofC{}freshmen,{}Shawna Banks. "We don't have one way streets at home."

"The people are pretty friendly and pretty nice so I don't think it will be too bad."

There are 2, 120 freshman students from 43 different states and nine countries this year.{} The youngest College of Charleston student is 16-years-old and the oldest is 34-years-old.
