      Boeing chairman speaks at USC Saturday graduation

      COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Boeing chairman W. James McNerney is speaking at the University of South Carolina's commencement for graduates of the Honors College and the College of Arts and Sciences.

      McNerney, who is also president and CEO of the world's largest manufacturer of commercial jetliners and military aircraft, is the recipient of an honorary doctorate of business administration. Saturday's event is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.

      At 1 p.m., the doctoral commencement and hooding takes place. USC physics professor Milind Kunchur is speaking.

      At 3 p.m., former astronaut and current NASA administrator Charles Bolden addresses commencement exercises for a number of colleges, including the Colleges of Education, Engineering and Computing, Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management, the School of Music and the College of Social Work.
