NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- The top official of Boeing in South Carolina is slated to provide a review of the company's activities in the state during the past year.
Jack Jones, a Boeing vice president and general manager of the company's South Carolina operations meets with the media on Thursday.
Boeing has a massive plant in North Charleston where it assembles its 787 Dreamliner. It also broke ground this year on a new factory a few miles away to make jet engine air inlets.
Earlier this year, Boeing announced that it would be investing $1 billion and creating 2,000 new jobs in South Carolina within eight years.
