ADAMS RUN, S.C. (WCIV) -- A building that neighbors say was constructed in the 1800s was reduced to ash early Wednesday morning.
St. Paul's Fire Department officials responded to the scene early Wednesday morning. Officials say firefighters were called out to Brewer Road just before 4:30 a.m.
When firefighters arrived they found the building nearly burnt to the ground. They remained on scene for nearly two hours putting out hot spots.
Officials say no one was living in the home or in the building when the fire started. They also say there was no electricity running to it.
There were no injuries as a result of the fire.
An investigation into the cause is underway.
