CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Members of the Charleston County Sheriff's Office Motorcycle Squad and Curtis Bostic of the Bostic Law Firm presented a large donation to Camp Happy Days Friday. The check, for $7,000, will help Camp Happy Days in their fight for kids with cancer. The money was raised during this year's Palmetto Police Motorcycle Skills Training Rodeo in March. Over 50 riders from across the Southeast participated."It's just our way of giving back to the citizens of Charleston County," said CCSO Lt. Ransom Williams. "We'll continue to support Camp Happy Days and the community of Charleston County for he great things they do for us and for the children of this community."Over the past seven years the Charleston County Sheriff's Office and the Bostic Law Firm have raised more than $47,500.00 to donate to Camp Happy Days."The stigma is you always see law enforcement in your rear-view mirror." said Lt. Williams. "We're not always in the rear-view mirror. We're out there doing good things for citizens as well."The CCSO Motorcycle Squad was also gifted a plaque from Camp Happy Days that Williams said will be hung in the office to drive deputies to help support the community.
