Camp Happy Days needs help to kick cancer

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV)-- Camp Happy Days, an organization that since 1981, has offered support and encouragement to children diagnosed with cancer and their families by providing gratuitous year-round programs, special events, and access to crisis resource needs your support.{}

Their goal is to improve the physical, emotional, and psychological health of the entire family facing pediatric cancer.

Camp Happy Days is planning their annual trip to Disney World where 25 kids with cancer and their siblings will travel to the Orlando theme park.

"It's a way for our kids to forget their troubles and really just relax, have fun and be normal kids for a day," Executive Director Eleanor Smythe said.

The trip costs about $15 thousand dollars - so far the Camp has raised just over $9,000.
