Candidates cram in campaign stops for Election Day Eve
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- With less than 24 hours until polls open to fill Tim Scott's vacant 1st District Congressional seat, the candidates are cramming in as many campaign stops as they can.Mark Sanford started his Monday early with a 7:30 cup of joe at the Collective Coffee Co. in Mt. Pleasant and then moved over to the Boulevard Diner with former Gov. Jim Edwards and Rep. Chip Limehouse. The trio then hit Firestone Complete Auto Care and Seel's Outboard and to talk to business owners.Around 10:45 Chairman Chad Connelly and Shawn Pinkston joined the former governor at the Qwik Pack & Ship on Daniel Island before stopping for lunch at Orlando's Pizza.After a quick stop at a Mt. Pleasant senior center, Democratic candidate Elizabeth Colbert Busch is stumping further north with an 11 a.m. stop at Unique Cuts of Ladson and will go to her Summerville Field Office for a meet and greet with volunteers after that.
