Car collides with school bus in North Charleston Tuesday morning

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A car collided with a school bus Tuesday morning, officials said.

According to police officials at the scene, the accident happened at Azalea Drive and Cambridge Avenue in North Charleston. There were students on the bus at the time of the accident, but no one was injured, officials said.{}

There is little damage to the bus. Another bus arrived a short time later to take the children to school.

Officials with Charleston County School District said the driver of the car drove away after hitting the bus.

CCSD officials did not say to what school the bus was heading.
