Career criminal sentenced to life in prison without parole
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - A manwith a 25-year criminal history was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison withoutparole.
According to the Ninth CircuitSolicitor's office, 44-year-old Otis Robinson was found guilty of first-degreeburglary and prosecutors sought a maximum penalty of life in prison. The judgein the case granted the request and sentenced Robinson to life in prisonwithout parole.
According to court records, aWest Ashley victim came home to find Robinson in his West Ashley home,ransacking it. Robinson ran, but DNA evidence linked him to the crime.
The solicitor's office saysRobinson's criminal history spans 25 years. He recently finished an 8-yearsentence for burglary when he was arrested on the most recent crime.
