CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The Charleston County School District will start holding public meetings Monday focused on common core standards.
The standards were adopted by the state to define knowledge and skills students should have in English, language arts and math.
The first town hall meetings for parents will be the night of February 10 at Laing Middle School, Haut Gap Middle School and West Ashley High School.
There will be several more throughout the week. All meetings start at 6 p.m. and are expected to last about two hours.
