Coroner IDs man who died in accident near Magnolia Gardens

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A driver is dead after a car struck a tree and overturned near Magnolia Gardens on Sunday, officials said.

The coroner's office identified the man as 45-year-old Grady Garris II, of West Ashley. Officials said he died from injuries he sustained in the wreck.Officials said deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office responded to the single-vehicle accident along Highway 61 in the area of Magnolia Gardens at about 3 a.m. Deputies found the BMW overturned near a tree with Garris dead inside, officials said.The Charleston County Sheriff's office Traffic Division is investigating the accident.
