AWENDAW, S.C. (WCIV) --{} Charleston County Sheriff's deputies were called to a home on Gadsdenville Road for reports of a burglary and assault.

Deputies report they arrived around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning to find the suspect, who was naked, being held in the driveway. The victim said the suspect had broken in to the home, sat down in a chair upstairs, and said "everyone is dead" before taking off his shorts and asking for a drink of water.

CCSO officials said a female resident was able to lead the suspect downstairs but was groped in the process. She then went next-door to get help from another family member.

The victim told deputies that while she was next door the suspect appeared to be ejaculating in the driveway.

The subject, identified by deputies as 31-year-old Tracy W. Perry of North Charleston, was held by the victim's husband until deputies arrived.

Deputies say Perry appeared "confused and disoriented,"{} "uttering in made up languages and providing differing names and dates of birth."

He was taken into protective custody and transported for an evaluation. CCSO officials said criminal charges are pending the results of the evaluation.
