CCSO: Ravenel teen charged after shooting another teen

      RAVENEL, S.C. (WCIV) -- A teenager is charged with attempted murder after he shot another teenager in the stomach, said officials with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office.

      Shaquill Coles, 17, of Ravenel is also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a person under the age of 18.

      Deputies said they responded to Roper Run Road in Ravenel at about 10 p.m. Friday.

      According to a police report, deputies found the 18-year-old victim in the front yard of the home complaining of a gunshot wound to his stomach.

      The victim was taken to MUSC for treatment.

      Witnesses told deputies they heard a single gunshot but could not identify who fired the shots.

      Coles is schedule to appear in bond court Sunday morning.

      Officials said Coles and the victim are students at Baptist Hill High School.
