CCSO: Squash silencer used to shoot up Sunoco window

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office are looking for a person they say used a gun with a squash on the end of it to shoot their way into a gas station and steal lottery tickets.

According to a CCSO incident report, an unknown subject was seen on video walking up to the Maybank Highway Sunoco around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

The suspect "pointed a firearm with a squash at the end of it" and fired two shots at the window.

Deputies said the suspect then took a cinder block and threw it at the window to gain access to the case of lottery tickets inside the store.

Officials said $6,000 worth of lottery tickets were stolen.

The Charleston County Sheriff'sOffice has not been able to identify the suspect.
