Charleston among best places to retire in Forbes list

      CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston is on yet another list. This time Forbes Magazine has listed the Holy City as one of the 25 best places to retire.

      According to the story, the draws to Charleston include the water front properties, the warm climate, the robust economy, good state taxes, an average cost of living, low crime, and a median home price below $230,000.{}

      However, the drawbacks for those looking to the Holy City for retirement living are a lack of volunteering options.

      Charleston was not the only South Carolina city to be worthy of the retirement crowd's attention. Bluffton and Clemson also made the list.{}

      Other cities on the list include Fargo, N.D., Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City, Tucson, and Austin, Texas.
