CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- A Charleston restaurant has been named the nation's best new restaurant by Bon Appetit magazine.
The Post and Courier reports (http://bit.ly/q10LC7 ) that Husk restaurant in the city's historic district has received the magazine's honor. The magazine is one of the nation's best known food publications and has a circulation of 1.5 million.
David Howard, the president of Neighborhood Dining Group that owns the restaurant, told the staff of the honor Tuesday.
The executive director of the Charleston Area Convention and Visitors Bureau says she's excited about the award.
Helen Hill says that while history is the main reason people visit Charleston, dining is a very close second.
