Charleston police arrest 1 for armed robbery, burglary

      NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - A North Charlestonman was arrested Friday and charged with an Oct. 27 armed robbery and burglary.

      According to the Charleston Police Department, Tevin KashawnBeaton, 20, was charged with four counts of armed robbery, two counts offirst-degree assault and battery and 10 counts of kidnapping.

      Beaton is being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center,police said.

      According to police, three masked men entered a Riverland Driveapartment early the morning of Oct. 27 and ransacked the apartment afterrestraining the victims. One of the victims was also sexually assaulted, policesaid.

      After ransacking that home, police said the suspects thenforced one of the victims to knock on a neighboring window so they could getinside that apartment, assault and rob those residents.

      Police have not identified the other two robbers.
