      Charleston police: Bank robbed Friday afternoon

      WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCIV) -- A West Ashley bank was robbed FRiday afternoon, according to Charleston police.

      Few details have been released, but police said the robbery happened at the First Palmetto Bank on Sumar Street around 2 p.m.

      There were no injuries, police said.

      Police described the suspect as a 40-50-year-old black man with medium build. He was wearing dark clothes and a black hat and mask. People in the bank did not report seeing a weapon, police said.
