Missing boy, 15, found safe, police say

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police were looking for a 15-year-old boy who had not been seen since Dec. 14. He was found safe on Monday, police said.

According to police, Drequan Simmons left his home in downtown Charleston and had not returned home since. Police said he may be in the Dorchester Road area near the El Cheapo gas station or the Bridgeview Apartments in downtown Charleston.

Officials say Simmons has no tattoos or piercings.
