Christmas tree sales boom after Black Friday

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - The Christmas season is now upon us, and business for Christmas tree sellers is starting to pick up.

"On Thanksgiving we probably sold 10 to 15 trees. It's not a big day. Today is really the day it starts," said Owner of No Hassle Christmas Trees, Ryan Balderson. "And, its been steady from now until probably the second week of December."

No Hassle Christmas Trees has been in the business for 12 years.

Balderson said he sold as many trees in two hours on Friday as he did the entire day on Thanksgiving.

"We have good trees. They were cut this week, delivered Tuesday. And we get another set in about a week," he said.
