      Coast Guard rescues boaters after vessel begins flooding

      CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Coast Guard boat crew rescued three boaters after their boat began to flood near the Charleston jetties on Saturday.

      The boaters radioed for help at 7:10 a.m. and reported that their 21-foot boat had a hole in the transom.

      After the boaters were removed from their boat, the Coast Guard dewatered the boat and towed it to the boat landing in Charleston.There were no injuries reported and all three boaters declined medical treatment.
