MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WCIV) -- The Coast Guard was called in late Saturday night to help search for a missing swimmer off the coast of Myrtle Beach.
According to the Coast Guard, crews searched by helicopter in the area near the Grand Atlantic Ocean Resort for an 11-year-old boy who went underwater and did not resurface.
Officials say the boy was swimming with a group of people at the time.
Coast Guard Sector Charleston's helicopter crew launched to help in the search.
Crews have not reported any new details in the search since 11 p.m. Saturday.
